September 2012 Software Updates

September 13, 2012
This collection of updates will allow you to work faster, target your social media audience, and make your life easier. Many of these are from user requests. If you have features you’d like to see as part of the software, make sure you’re using the feedback request area (the light bulb!) to submit ideas and track results.
Streamlined credit card processing inside your software*

Now you can process your member's credit card right inside your software when receiving payments for invoices or when creating a sales receipt.

Find this new selection when choosing New Payment or New Sales Receipt from the Members Account tab or the Billing Center.  After selecting a Payment Method of Credit Card, this new selection will appear, allowing credit card processing on the spot.

This feature is only available to those with Billing and for those using Authorize.Net, Beanstream or Paypal Website Payments Pro.  Heartland Payment System users will be provided a similar option in an upcoming release.  Check out all the details in Help/Info.

Focus on pertinent results

A new filter added to the Open Invoices report allows you to get right to the numbers that matter.  See only open invoice totals, only credits and payments, or see everything all at once.  Billing only.

Targeted Social Media Event Publishing*
This simple drop-down menu allows you to choose exactly which calendar should be published!  Select which specific event calendar should be sending automatic posts to your social media.  Find this new setting under Setup->Social Network Publishing.
*Note: Plus users only

There are over 30 new features represented in the following list and represents hundreds of development hours. While not all will apply to all users, many will find these updates valuable in streamlining day-to-day activities. As always, we appreciate your candid feedback.

Providing new features and more benefits is something that MicroNet, Inc. is committed to. Software release features are often generated from your feature requests. Those requests may be combined or adapted to fit with other requests or in response to industry related changes. We listen, evaluate, and implement based on greatest impact, most-requested, ability to integrate, and time-saving implication.  In evaluating the benefit of one software release over another, realize that sometimes the updates have required much programming time but are not visible in tangible terms.  Thank you for the opportunity to serve you and your members.
